Sunlogin VPN Function Introduction
Virtual Private Network (VPN) indicates that users, using a special encryption communication protocol, establish a dedicated communication line between two enterprise Intranets or among multiple enterprise Intranets which are located in different places. Its core is to create a virtual private network with the use of public networks.
SunLogin VPN function helps you a virtual network easily. To use this function, do as follows:
Firstly, login as the passport and password to SunLogin official website.Establishing a VPN requires two steps: remote client configuration and host configuration.
Remote client configuration
Login to the remote client as passport or generated SunLogin code (Download address of SunLogin remote client:), double-click the icon at the lower-right corner or right-click SunLogin remote client icon, click SunLogin Configuration and launch the VPN module, as shown in Figure.
VPN is a virtual network requiring a virtual network card. After SunLogin remote client is installed, a local connection is added. IP address of VPN for network connection is assigned by SunLogin and cannot be changed.
ost configuration: Perform two steps easily to complete the configuration.
Login to SunLogin official website to enter SunLogin Management Center, click VPN Network. The SunLogin VPN page is displayed. Click Create Network to establish a network.
Do as follows:
Step 1: Enter network information
Step 2: Add network members. As shown below, choose remote clients that you want to enable SunLogin VPN function for from the left pane and click them to add to VPN Service on the right pane. The basic steps for establishing a distribution network are the same as that for establishing a peer-to-peer network. The difference is that, for a distribution network, after completing the second step, you need to set center hosts. Enter the established distribution network, choose network members that are to be set to center hosts, and then select Set to Be Center Member, as shown in Figure.
Step3: select a network type peer-to-peer network. There are two network types: peer-to-peer network and distribution network. In peer-to-peer network, each host is interconnected with other hosts. This is the most typical network topology.
In distribution network, each host (branch) is interconnected only with the central node. Hosts are not allowed to interconnect with each other. This network is applied to the enterprises that require hosts interconnected only with the central node.
After SunLogin VPN services are set up, the system automatically assigns a virtual IP address (starting with 172) to each host on this virtual network for host communication. Note that these virtual IP addresses are automatically assigned by the system and cannot be manually changed.
