How do we control remote clients through SunLogin?
Register a passport on Sunlogin control client.Add hosts- Send the directed installation URLs to remote clients- Open the URLs to install SunLogin remote client on controled hosts.(See: http://sunlogin.oray.com/en/help/1062.html)
Ⅱ Remote control in WEB-based mode on Sunlogin control client
Enter SunLogin Management Center, check that the local host appears in the host list, and click Remote Control.
Enter Windows account (user name and password) or access password to launch remote control. SunLogin requires secondary verification on Windows account and access password when you login to a remote client. You can set the access password in Security Settings of the remote client.
Login as access password.
You have login to the remote client successfully.
1 SunLogin Remote Desktop
SunLogin Remote Desktop is the desktop of a remote client. You can operate a remote client directly through Oray SunLogin. Click the Remote Desktop button to enter the remote client desktop.
On the Remote Desktop console, there are seven function keys: Blank screen mode, Mode selection, Shortcut key, Color settings, View settings, Auxiliary function, and Full screen. The functions are described as follows:
When you enable this mode in Remote Desktop, the desktop will force a blank screen until the end of accessing to the Remote Desktop. This mode protects your privacy effectively. When the remote control is finished, disable the blank screen mode.
The Remote Desktop mode is divided into two types: control mode and view mode. Their differences are as follows: In control mode, you can perform tasks on a remote client. The permissions and login account from Sunlogin control client are the same as those of the remote client. In view mode, you cannot perform tasks on a remote client from Sunlogin control client. The cursor is unavailable.
For the convenience of remote operations, SunLogin provides a variety of commonly used shortcut keys in tool settings of Remote Desktop. They match different programs or operations. It is very convenient to use.
By default, color settings are automatically adjusted according to the current actual situation. Limited by network resources, users can adjust the desktop color quality according to their actual situations. The lower the quality is, the more fluent the operation will be more. Under normal circumstances select High Color (16).
You can adjust the screen resolution on Sunlogin control client through this function. This adjustment directly affects the remote client. That is, it is equivalent to set the screen resolution on the remote client directly through properties of Remote Desktop.
As a relatively new feature, at present it has two functions: start screen whiteboard and synchronize clipboard. Information copied from the remote client can be directly pasted on Sunlogin control client. Information transmission is very convenient. Screen whiteboard: After you enable this feature, the screen becomes a painting, and you can use red pen to write. Users can directly see what is written on the screen of Sunlogin control client from the remote client.
After you click the Full screen button, the remote desktop will switch to the full-screen mode. You can click again to restore.
2 SunLogin Remote File Management
SunLogin remote file management indicates that files can be transmitted between Sunlogin control client and remote clients and files on remote clients can be managed from the host through Oray SunLogin. You can start Oray SunLogin through WEB host and enter the remote File Management.
Click File management. SunLogin Remote Access plug-in will be loaded to the control page. If the plug-in is not installed, remote control will fail to continue. Install the plug-in as prompted.
After the host and remote client are connected, their desktop directories are opened by default.
On the file list page, select an individual file or folder, or multiple files or folders by pressing the Ctrl key, and then click the transmission button at the top of the page to transmit. You can also drag and drop files or folders through the mouse to transmit. At the top of the page, there are buttons of creating a new folder, deleting folder and deleting files. SunLogin supports standard Windows shortcut keys.
If you want to cancel transmission during the data transmission process, you can click Cancel or Pause at the lower-left corner of the remote file management page as required.
The following figure shows the page displayed after you click Cancel during data transmission.
3 .SunLogin remote system management
Click Remote Management to enter the remote management page. SunLogin remote management covers four parts: remote diagnostics, configuration, function, and plug-in.
Diagnostics - Performance Test:
At the top of the page, system running data of the remote client is displayed in real time, including the four main parts CPU, disk, network, and memory. At the bottom of the page, running processes and details are displayed. At present, you can manually select two modules CPU and memory to check and analyze resources.
Diagnostics - Event Viewing
In the column of event log names, you can view system applications, security events and system events by classification. Click an event. Then details of the event are listed at the bottom of the page.
Diagnosis - Process
All running processes and their details are listed. You can forcibly end certain desired processes on the remote client by clicking the End button on the upper-right corner of the page. Note that some basic processes that the system requires to operate is cannot be forced to end.
Configuration - Service
All system services and their details on the remote client are listed. Double-click a service. Then the system displays the operational details of the service. You can change bootable state of a service by modifying the setting of Startup Type. To start or stop a service, select it and click the corresponding state button at the upper-left corner of the page.
Configuration - Local User and Group
All system users and their details on the remote client are listed. Double click a computer user, and you can view details of the user. You can add or delete users, and modify user state through corresponding function keys on the upper-right of the page. The following case is to add user AddTest. In the belongings user groups, you can hold down the Ctrl or Shift keys to select more than one group, so that the user has permissions for multiple groups.
Configuration - Sharing resources
Shared directories, shared session management, and shared file management of system NETBIOS are listed.
Configuration - Environment variable
Environment variables of the system are displayed. You can double click certain environment variables to change settings, or add or modify environment variables through corresponding function keys on the upper-right of the page.
Function - CMD
It is a good and powerful feature. You can operate the computer via DOS commands. It is the favorite of professionals!
Plug-in – Camera
SunLogin remote camera helps you know the remote host at any time.
4 SunLogin remote camera for monitoring
You can directly call the camera of the remote client and transmit images to Sunlogin control client through Oray SunLogin to view.
Access the remote management function page. On the console page, choose plug-in > Camera. SunLogin Remote Access plug-in will be loaded to the control page. If the plug-in is not installed, remote control will fail to continue. Install the plug-in as prompted.
After the plug-in is installed, re-login to the SunLogin and click Remote Management. You can see the picture displayed by the peer camera; and you can also adjust the picture size based on actual needs, as shown below.
